1. Who operates MISPLACED

MISPLACED Sports Analytics is operated by Herford Analytics LLC ("Herford Analytics," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, and shared when you visit misplacedanalytics.com, use the free MLB beta, or submit a form.

2. Information you choose to provide

You may provide information when you submit beta feedback or contact us. Depending on the form, that information can include your name, email address, message, product area, player or team name, device/browser details, and an optional screenshot.

Do not submit passwords, bank information, card numbers, government identification numbers, health information, or other sensitive personal information through our feedback or contact forms.

3. Information processed automatically

Like most websites and hosted web applications, our service providers may process technical information needed to deliver, secure, and operate the service. This can include IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, requested pages, and diagnostic or security logs.

4. Service providers and embedded services

We currently use third-party infrastructure to operate MISPLACED. This includes Netlify for public-site hosting and form handling, and Google Apps Script/Google infrastructure for the live analytics dashboard. The public site also requests web fonts from Google Fonts. When you use these services, those providers may process technical information under their own terms and privacy practices.

5. How we use information

We may use information to:

• operate, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot MISPLACED;
• respond to questions and support requests;
• investigate bugs, data issues, loading failures, and other beta problems;
• improve product design, model presentation, and user experience;
• prevent misuse, spam, fraud, or security threats; and
• comply with legal obligations or protect our rights.

6. Feedback submissions

Beta and contact forms are processed through Netlify Forms. Submissions may be stored in our Netlify project so we can review and respond to them. Optional fields can be left blank.

7. Sharing of information

We do not sell personal information. We may share or allow access to information with service providers that help us host, operate, secure, or support MISPLACED; when required by law; or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, Herford Analytics, or others.

8. Advertising and payments

The current MLB beta does not require payment and we do not currently operate a paid checkout on the public site. If we later add accounts, subscriptions, payment processing, advertising, or additional tracking technologies, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when those features are introduced.

9. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including product support, beta analysis, security, recordkeeping, and legal obligations. We may delete information when it is no longer needed.

10. Your choices

You can use the current MLB beta without submitting the feedback or contact forms. If you want to ask about information you previously submitted, send a request through our Contact page and choose "Privacy request."

11. Children

MISPLACED is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13 through our forms.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the current beta service. No internet service or storage method is guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as MISPLACED changes. The "last updated" date at the top will be revised when we make material changes.
